OVERKILL are celebrating reaching the goal of 1.5 million Steam group members
by making PAYDAY: The Heist available
to download for free on Steam this Thursday.
The game will be free from 10AM Pacific time for 24 hours on
16 October. The studio was originally only going to make the game free on 18
October, but since they reached their goal earlier they wanted to jump right
into the action as soon as possible. Giving away free stuff is part of OVERKILL’s
Crimefest, celebrating the third anniversary of the franchise. Players who want
to be part of the celebrations should check out the Crimefest website here.
So far OVERKILL has given away six different rewards,
including some Brass Knuckles, a golden AK weapon, the Judge Gun and Money
Bundle and mask from Bain.
