As you may already know The International kicks off tomorrow, with the
Wild Card Match and runs through to 11 August. There’ll five different ways to
watch the action, how will you be watching?
Online
Twitch.tv
The International will be streamed on Twitch.tv and if you link you’re
Steam account to their service you’ll be eligible for tournament item drops.
More information over at Twitch.tv.
Dota 2 or Dota 2.com
Dota 2 fans will be able to watch all games live in Dota 2 (the game
client) or on Dota2.com for free. Preliminaries will be available on the
broadcasters’ streams as well as on the in-game Watch Lab.
Offline
In Person (You lucky bastards!)
Those who were lucky enough to get tickets before they sold out will be
watching the action at the SE corner of the Benaroya Hall in Seattle . Doors open at 11 am PDT on
Wednesday, 7 August.
Pubstomping (with the Brewmaster?)
Many won’t be able to watch The International at the Benaroya Hall, but
can still earn items and rewards by registering or attending an event where you
and your mates can come together and watch the live streams.
How does that work? Here it is, straight from the horse’s mouth.
If you want to attend an event, it's simple. Just find an event in your area, sign-up with your Steam account, and show up. If there aren't currently any events in your area, check back often as more are being added all the time.
If you run an event or want to start an event in your area, you will want to visit our event registration page. There you will need to use your Steam account to register your event; include your location, venue name, and plenty of details (ie food available, etc).
During The International, Valve will post pictures from the various venues and see who can have the largest satellite event!
