Burgoon Entertainment has released a PC demo for their game Tom vs The Armies of Hell which they hope to crowd fund before 22 August.
This action-adventure game filled with crazy humour spans across a demon-infested office, top secret weapons lab and purgatory itself. It looks absolutely fantastic and has a kickstarter goal of $100 000. The kickstarter was launched just days ago and to further motivate the public to fund the title, the development studio Burgoon Entertainment has released a fully playable demo for PC, Mac and Linux. Have a look at the cinematic trailer below.
Tom vs. the Armies of Hell (or AoH for short), is an isometric action/adventure game for PC/Mac with a strong focus on story and humor. You play as Tom, a reluctant hero/software engineer with a newly acquired demon arm.Gameplay is fast-paced and takes the standard PC action RPG formula and combines it with the twitch-style action of old-school console and arcade games. Using an arsenal of experimental weapons and his newly acquired demonic powers, Tom will fight his way through a demon infested office complex, a top-secret weapons research lab, and finally Hell itself.
The studio has added a note
to the demo, saying that it is not at all a representation of the finished
product.
“This is super early code; very unoptimized. The final game will run better, have better guns, and a total UI overhaul.”, reads the kickstarter page.
If you’d like to give the
demo a go, you can download it here.
